I send to you my wishes for a Happy Halloween! The picture on
the left was taken in October 1991—just after we paid a visit
to the local pumpkin patch, no doubt. You may recall that I preferred to draw faces on your pumpkins, rather than carve them. It was less messy and one was able to be more creative! I always
enjoyed this special time of the year! I pray that you think back to the fun we had designing faces for the pumpkins whenever you see them!
A couple of thoughts on this Halloween—
As I mentioned to you in my last letter, many of my cousins held a big party to celebrate their Mom's ninetieth birthday—their Mom, of course, is my Aunt Betty. The party was held on Sunday, October 10 at the house of my cousin Donald. It was the closest thing that we have had to a reunion of the extended family for five years. Two of my grandparents' four daughters were there—my Mom and my Aunt Betty—five of my grandparents' twelve grandchildren were there (including your Uncle Jeff)—and five of my grandparents' sixteen great-grandchildren were there (including your cousin Melodi)!
Click here to view twelve pictures taken by me. My cousin Tom also took some great shots. As soon as I get electronic copies of those, I will post them, as well.
All for now! I have a bunch of things to do today before the hoards of munchkins and goblins appear at my doorstep this evening! I hope that you have something fun planned this evening!
Much love to you on this Halloween!
