I do not know whether your Mom has shared with you the story of your birth. Because I seem to have a need to document everything in my life, I thought it only appropriate following the events of your coming into the world that I find a few minutes to get it all down on paper—thinking that it would be fun to read years later!

		This story must start with a note about your birth month. I cannot tell how thrilled I was when I found out that you would be born in the month of April. While February was always special to me because of my own birthday, April is such a beautiful month! The flowers bloom and the trees recover their precious leaves! Nature's birthday presents to you each and every year!

I thought that you might also enjoy seeing some pictures of the hospital in which you were born. I walk by this hospital quite often on my long weekend walks. I always say a prayer of thanksgiving when I look up at the corner of the building in which the maternity ward is located. And I think about the first hour of your life and how fortunate I was to be able to share it with you.

		Unfortunately, I do not have a very big collection of photographs of your early years. But thanks to the generousity of my family, I have been able to recover some pictures. I am so grateful that we took so many pictures of you and your sister! You were always so good in front of the camera and both of you had such wonderful smiles! As I acquire other pictures, I may choose to replace this one with one that shows what a cute baby you were! Until then, enjoy this one!
